Love Your Husband Mom Tips

“Let all that you do be done in love.” 1 Corinthians 16:14

The Wise Woman Builds Her Spirit:

  • Practice J.O.Y. this week. J.O.Y. is Jesus-Others-Yourself. Everywhere you go this week, the grocery store, your child’s school, the coffee shop…apply this concept. Think of Jesus first, then others, and then yourself.
  • Write Luke 1:45 on your notecards or in your journal. Take the time to memorize it by the end of the week.

The Wise Woman Loves Her Husband:

  • Acknowledge your husband and family as soon as they walk into the house by saying “hello” to them. These little things let them know that they matter to you. Let them know that your home is the best place to be because they are well-loved by their family. Teach your children to say hello to one another too!
  • If your husband is grouchy or just a little bit off this week, instead of being offended and hurt, take the opportunity to pray a blessing over him. Pray that God would flood your husband’s heart with His love, peace, and value. You are your husband’s biggest prayer warrior. James 4:11 reminds us to not speak against one another.

The Wise Woman Loves Her Children:

  • Instead of catching your children being bad, catch your children being good this week. Every time you see one of your children acting or behaving in a good and positive way, stop and praise them. Remember to say thank you.
  • Make a fun art project with your children this week. Pull out the paints and construction paper and see what fun creations you can come up with. Hang them up art-gallery-style and invite friends and family over to view the masterpieces.

The Wise Woman Cares For Her Home:

  • Sit down and plan meals for the week. Once you finish, write your grocery list.
  • Clean and organize your laundry room. Wipe down and dust the cabinets and mop the floors. Take the time to run the clean/sanitize cycle on your washing machine.
