Mom to Mom with Rachel

Dearest Mom,

I am so thankful that you have been with us this summer. Being intentional and making time to spend with the Lord is the best gift you can give your husband as his wife, and your children as their mother. Nothing else in this world will equip you to persevere through the hard times like the Word of God and His Holy Spirit dwelling inside of you!

Summer sure is a glorious time, isn’t it? The freedom and flexibility that the warm weather brings is a magical feeling. But every year, it has to end. We all want to enjoy each minute that this season has left, but alas, we have to start planning and preparing for what is imminent.

As mothers, we are always thinking about what is to come. What will the next school year bring? When will my toddler be potty-trained? When will my baby ever walk?! The beauty of these changes in motherhood is found in staying put and appreciating the moment, but also in accepting the change when it arrives.

Mamas, I would like to encourage you with these verses out of Ecclesiastes:

For everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which has been planted. (Ecclesiastes 3:1-2)

Pray for that kind of patience and perspective. Pray to grow and stay in your season. Pray to learn and endure through all things. You can do this, friend!

Love and Blessings,
Rachel Jones and the Help Club for Moms Team
