Mom to Mom with Tara Summer of Staying Week One

Hello Friends!

This is it! The sun has returned, and the glorious days of summer are awakening before us! Such a prospect of hope these days carry! Sister, God is calling you to stay faithful to His purpose for you as you fill each crevice of this season with the love of Jesus! However, if you are anything like me, you may quickly find your patience running thin and your feet inching ever closer to the life door marked “exit.” How can we remain faithful to that first summer calling, especially when the natural path our lives take is much less rosy?

I’ll tell you, the way God has called me to stay faithful is to simply take one small step forward at a time—one morning at a time in His Word, one smile of gentleness toward a disobedient child, one loving thought toward my husband, one prayer instead of a sharp word, one continual reach out to Jesus instead of withdrawing into myself—one step, every minute, every day, toward the woman God is calling me to be.

When you stay near the Lord, He will guide you, strengthen you, and infuse your summer with the peace and joy you so desire. God’s Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119:105). He will shine that warm light on your path this summer, enabling you to take one small step at a time toward becoming the woman, wife, and mother He is creating you to be. And if you get off course, just turn around and take one small step back toward your Savior and living a life radiating with His love. Stay right where the Lord wants you to be this summer! His grace is sufficient for you, my friend! And this long, lovely summer doesn’t have to be perfect to be beautiful. It simply needs to be one small step at a time in the direction of faithfulness.

Love and Blessings,
Tara D. and the Help Club for Moms Team

“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22-23 (ESV)
