“You love him even though you have never seen him. Though you do not see him now, you trust him; and you rejoice with a glorious, inexpressible joy.”
~1 Peter 1:8
We don’t have to figure out how to find where joy resides; we already know. His name is Jesus. He is near you this week as you as you are wrapping presents, preparing your Christmas recipes, tidying your house, loving your family, serving others, and just lying in the quiet alone. He has been near you since the day you were created, and He has never left your side.
Set aside some time this week for a date with the Creator of joy. Try out one my favorite songs “He Came like a Winter Snow” by Audrey Assad. Get into His presence and let your responsibilities fall like snowflakes for just a moment because to miss Jesus is to miss all. He came, He’s here, and He’s returning—all for you. To know Jesus is to have an inexpressible joy.

“Find out where joy resides, and give it a voice far beyond singing. For to miss the joy is to miss all.” ~ Robert Louis Stevenson
I have been married to my high school love, Andrew for 13 years. We have three loving and energetic children. God brought us to the beautiful mountains of Colorado from Las Vegas in 2012. We are on the greatest adventure of our lives as we follow Him in this unpredictable journey. I am passionate about home, family, friends, books, long walks, animals, and connect with God through nature. I love quiet afternoons with a cup of tea!
