Summer Mom Tips Week 10

Summer Mom Tips Week 10

“The wise woman builds her house.” Proverbs 14:1a

The Mom Tips are meant to enhance your life and role as a Christian wife, mom, discipler of your children, homemaker, and friend.

Pray about which ideas to try and keep this list on your fridge all week. Check them off as you accomplish them. Complete all of the Mom Tips or pick one to finish.

We all are in different stages of our lives. You do you! Do what you can and celebrate the fact that you added something new to enhance your life!

The Wise Woman Builds Her Spirit:

  • Memorize Psalm 103:19. Write the verse on your bathroom mirror or on a notecard in your kitchen or car. Read the verse aloud every morning and believe in the power of His word.

The Wise Woman Loves Her Husband:

  • Take time to prepare your husband his favorite meal this week. Maybe he really enjoys breakfast, have some fun and make it for dinner. Have your children draw a special menu for the evening.

The Wise Woman Loves Her Children:

  • Have a movie night with your children one night this week. Pop some popcorn, gather some blankets and pick a family friendly movie to enjoy all together. Have a special treat and savor your time all together as a family as summer winds down. Our family enjoys any of the Veggie Tales movies or a classic like Mary Poppins.

The Wise Woman Cares For Her Home:

  • Start a load of laundry by 9 AM three mornings this week. When the washer is finished, immediately place the wet clothes in the dryer. After the clothes are dry, fold and put the clothes away. Do not let the clean clothing pile up in your laundry area this week. Be mindful of your task.

  1. Leslie, your words are just what I needed today, thia week actually. I had lost my hope, and losing hope is not good. Thank you for sharing that your summer didn’t go as planned. I often have high expectations then get frustrated when they aren’t met.

The weekly tips are great too!

    1. I am so happy you found hope in this Kristine. I often get frustrated when plans and ideas do not go the way I have it all mapped out in my head. I have learned (over a very long time and lots of prodding from the Holy Spirit) that I need to be a bit more flexible and that it’s all going to be okay. I know that you are a great mom and you are doing a fantastic job.
