“The wise woman builds her house.” Proverbs 14:1
The Mom Tips are meant to enhance your life and role as a Christian wife, mom, discipler of your children, homemaker, and friend.
Simply pray about which ideas to try and keep this list on your fridge all week. Check them off as they are accomplished. You can also do more than what is suggested. We all are in different stages of our lives. You do you!
Do what you can and celebrate the fact that you added something new to enhance your life!
The Wise Woman Builds Her Spirit:
- Write Matthew 7:7 in your journal or on your bathroom mirror, and work on memorizing this verse. As you read the verse, remember what you learned last week that God is the Potter and you are the clay. God is willing and able to gently mold you into his likeness!
The Wise Woman Loves Her Husband:
- Call your mother-in-law this week just to say hello. Tell her something you appreciate about her. Let her know how much you love and value the son she raised.
The Wise Woman Loves Her Children:
- Enroll your children in your local library’s summer reading program. Make family reading goals and read aloud every day. Also, let your children help you clean! Assign them household tasks so they can share the load. Decide what works best with your routine: small, daily chores, a weekly day, or a combination of the two. Give all of your children their own responsibilities. Even a child as young as three can help by sorting dirty laundry, putting away clean clothes, gathering trash from each can around the house on trash day, or helping to unload the dishwasher.
The Wise Woman Cares For Her Home:
- Create a snack station in your pantry and refrigerator. Designate a spot that is child-accessible and stock it with cut-up fruits, vegetables, and whatever else your children like for snacks.
