The Mom Tips are meant to enhance your life and role as a Christian wife, mom, discipler of your children, homemaker, and friend.

Pray about which ideas to try and keep this list on your fridge all week. Check them off as you accomplish them. Complete all of the Mom Tips or pick one to finish. We all are in different stages of our lives. You do you!

Do what you can and celebrate the fact that you added something new to enhance your life!

The Wise Woman Builds Her Spirit:

  • Keep working on your prayer binder for 3  days this week, but keep it short, only 15 minutes. Day 1______ Day 2______ Day Three______

The Wise Woman Loves Her Husband:

  • Be kind. When you and your husband are having a quarrel, practice wisdom and be as kind as possible. Use a tone of voice that’s sweet and respectful. Ask God to help you to have “the tongue of the wise that brings healing.” Proverbs 12:18.

The Wise Woman Loves Her Children:

  •  Ask God to show you your children’s hearts so you can best understand them.  Sometimes all we can see is their behavior, God sees the heart and the root of the behavior. That’s what we need to see too!

The Wise Woman Cares For Her Home:

  • When my children were little, I had an older godly woman encourage me to fill out a weekly plan sheet. She would say, “plan your work, and work your plan.” She also would tell me to pray before I decided what to put in my week’s schedule, and to make sure my quiet time with God was first. I also wrote on Sunday’s time for worship at our church.
  • Next, I would always schedule some time in the week for time with my husband- maybe a night out, or I would simply schedule a night to watch a movie together, or a coffee time on the weekends.
  • Then, I would plan time each week to spend one-on-one with my children. I also tried to set aside time to be intentional about teaching my children about God through Bible readings, books, books on tape etc.. On Sundays, I would make a big breakfast and my husband would read the Bible, and sometimes discuss a great devotional passage he read that week.  I would frequently be my husband’s “helper” and find great devotional books for him to read to the children.  This really helped my husband because I had more time and was more familiar with  the types of materials that would help him to disciple the kids.
  • Do what works for your family. In some families,  Dad reads the Bible at dinner, in other families, the mom does all of the discipleship. Remember, You do you!
  • Last, I put everything else- dinner menu, bedtime readings, friends coming over, meetings, etc.
  • Print out the weekly plan sheet. Pray for the Lord’s wisdom as you plan your week.
