“Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, ‘I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life… And though I have no wish to glorify myself, God is going to glorify me. He is the true judge. I tell you the truth, anyone who obeys my teaching will never die!’” JOHN 8:12, 50-51 (NLT)

We can all walk through times of darkness in our lives. Maybe it was before you encountered Jesus or maybe it is a trial you are currently facing in your life, but to know Jesus and to obey Jesus is to walk in the light. No matter what we are going through, if we stick close to Jesus, He will guide us and illuminate the way. His light, warmth, and presence will be the fuel that keeps us going. We needn’t even fear death because He has conquered the grave! There is so much peace to be found as we follow Jesus!
