15/5 Challenge Day 25

“Now when the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices, that they might come and anoint Him. Very early in the morning, on the first day of the week,  they came to the tomb when the sun had risen. And they said among themselves, ‘Who will roll away the stone from the door of the tomb for us?’” MARK 16:1-3 (NKJV)

On Easter Sunday, when the devoted women in Jesus’ life were on their way to the tomb to anoint His precious body with spices, they were wondering who will roll the stone away from the entrance of the tomb. Little did they know that the prophecy had been fulfilled; their Savior had risen from the dead, just as He said He would! All the prophecies of the Old Testament now came to fulfillment in this moment. The Messiah, Jesus Christ, who was with God at the beginning of the world, left heaven to die a criminals death on the cross so that you and I could be close to God.The veil was torn, there is no longer any separation between God and His children, for those of us who choose to believe. By turning our hearts to Jesus, and inviting Him to be Lord our lives, we now have the chance to be new and live a completely new life in Christ; turning our eyes away from our sins and onto Jesus, we now have a whole new story and the opportunity to live eternally with Jesus in heaven. Do you know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior? Your eternity is awaiting your decision. Will you pray with me today?

“Dear God, I know I’m a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe Jesus Christ is Your Son. I believe that He died for my sins and that you raised Him to life. I want to trust Him as my Savior and follow Him as Lord, from this day forward. Guide my life and help me to do your will. I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.”

If you prayed that prayer for the first time or if you re-dedicated your life to Jesus Christ, we would love to hear from you so we can pray for you and send you some helpful information to get you started in your new life in Christ.
