His Love is Greater

“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” – Romans 8:38-39

Sweet friend, have you ever felt separated from God’s love? I know I have, especially in the way I have lost my temper with my kids and with my husband. I have run out of patience and been unkind many times. Humbly, I confess, to putting my needs over those that God has called me to serve. Do you know what else- I have not always believed the best of my husband and my children. The truth is, I have messed up a lot as a mother & a wife, and have not always done well in caring for my home.

It is in these moments of self-reflection, where I have failed to care for my family, that I feel I have disappointed God. Not just disappointed God, but completely failed Him. Surely my actions have pushed God away and have cost His love for me. Yet that is NOT what the Bible says. The Bible actually says the opposite. Nothing can separate me from His love! 💗

How is it possible that in my worst moments, God’s love is not turned away from me? In fact, it’s in my worst moments that God calls me to come closer to Him so that He can love me even more. 💕 Why would He do that? Because God REALLY is that kind and that loving. In our mess, He calls to us to draw closer to Him, so that we can receive His love and healing.

God’s help, provision, and intervention are not based on what we have or haven’t done. God’s love is not even based on us. His love is based on Him and on what Jesus did on the cross.

He is the only one who can heal our hearts and our families. So come to God in the midst of your feelings of failure and let Him caress you with His love for you. Let Him restore your mind & soul, because sister, there is nothing that separates you from His love!

Love,
