Mom to Mom with Rae-Ellen

Hello Dear Mamas!

I hope you are finding your summer to be refreshing and relaxing! My family and I just returned from visiting relatives out of state. We were blessed to introduce our five children to lots of family members they had never met before. My mama heart was delighted that they were surrounded by such love and acceptance. Enveloped in this type of warm homecoming, I realized the importance of nurturing extended family. Reflecting on our time together, I now
desire to deepen those relationships and to keep our families connected.

Relationships matter. God’s Word encourages us in 2 Corinthians 13:11, “Finally, brothers and sisters, rejoice! Strive for full restoration, encourage one another, be of one mind, live in peace.”

If the Lord has planted you in a family, it is so you would not be alone. The verse above says to live at peace with each other and to strive for restoration. If you have differences with family members, pray and ask the Lord to help you forgive and make amends. I encourage you to intentionally love your immediate and extended family well. Building relationships might take effort including making phone calls, sending letters, messages, texts, pictures, or scheduling a visit. You have plenty of time to reach out and tangibly love your family well, summer isn’t over yet!

With love,
Your sister Rae-Ellen Sanders and the Help Club For Moms Team
