Mom to Mom with Rachel

“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10

Precious Mama,

You are a dearly loved child of God. Let me say that again: YOU are dearly and completely loved. Christ created you and has given you an amazing identity! We all have different gifts and talents, but in the end, we all are rooted and joined together by our identity in Christ.

For the next two weeks, our Bible studies will dig deeper into what having an identity in Christ really means. How does being a Christ-follower define you? Who does God say that you are? And what does He think about you? Those are some of the questions we will be answering.

One of my favorite verses in the Bible is Philippians 1:6, which says, “being confident of this, thatHe who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” He has a “good work,” or in other words, an extraordinary plan, for ALL of us! That is so exciting and encouraging. When the enemy tries to belittle you or condemn you, just remember that verse!

My greatest prayer is that you will read our studies and know so deeply Christ’s love for you. I pray that you feel His love pour out of the pages onto you. He wants so desperately to have a relationship with you and for you to feel His complete affection for and acceptance of you.
Remember that you are a treasure and God views you as His precious daughter for whom He gave His life. Have a great week, mama!

Love,
Rachel Jones and the Help Club For Moms Team

“Jesus came to announce to us that an identity based on success, popularity and power is a false identity— an illusion! Loudly and clearly he says: ‘You are not what the world makes you; but you are children of God.’” Henri Nouwen
