Prayer for Peace at Night

Are your kids afraid of the dark? Are they convinced there’s a boogie man under their bed?

What is it about night time that brings out every.single.fear?  (Not just for kids, but for teens and parents too!)

Did you know that God gave us a TOOL t0 combat the TERROR?

God has given us His Word and it has POWER. It’s sharper than a sword, and available to slice through every single fear and worry!

When my kids (or I) am afraid, we pray, speak, or sing this one verse, over and over:

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.  2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV)

2 Timothy

Repeating this verse calms our minds, and reminds us who is in charge.

God is way tougher than any boogie man, and God is on our side!

Tell your children that you can’t think about TWO things at the same time. You can think about God – on His great love, his power, His protection and His peace … or your fears.  You get to decide!

Tonight, remind your children that you are on God’s team. Talk to Him, claim His word, and allow His peace to fill you while you sleep.

Love,
