Tackle Life with Holy Spirit Power!

“How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!” ~‭‭Psalm‬ ‭119:103‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Do you ever find yourself short on patience, lacking compassion, or chock full of negativity? Do you ever become overwhelmed, unable to juggle your many roles, lost on how to wrangle it all in control? Do you sometimes feel like you just need a few minutes of quiet time to hit the reset button on your attitude?

Sweet Mom, rest assured you are not alone! As a wife, mama to four under the age of twelve, and a full-time working mom outside the home, I find myself in this sort of state of mind more often than I would like to admit.

The truth is life can be hard sometimes. It can be messy, chaotic, and overwhelming. As mamas, our minds are constantly churning out the most efficient and effective ways to accomplish all of the items on the to-do list. We’re juggling our marriages, our homes, our kids’ school and extracurricular activities, and our jobs. We figure out how to be in two places at once, relearn algebra so we can teach it to our children, and serve up dinner while folding a load of laundry.

It’s no wonder we feel in a constant state of exhaustion! Especially if we’re tackling this life in our own power and not His.

Sweet Mom, I have found that when I am struggling, irritable, and less than my best, I am spiritually starved. The root of it all is that I have neglected my time with Jesus. That need for just a few minutes of quiet time to reset your attitude is the Holy Spirit beckoning us to pause and seek our Lord’s face!

I have learned that when I meet with Jesus daily, I become spiritually healthy, my faith becomes stronger and my attitude more positive. Why? Because His words are sweeter than honey! Because my eyes are on Him and not on all that I have to do. When we are spiritually healthy, we see life through His eyes.  Our responsibilities become blessings. The extracurricular activities and errands become opportunities to be a light for Him. The curve balls become divine intervention. We begin to put others first and ourselves last, just as He did.

🙏 Pray with me-

Father God, thank you for your mercy and patience when I have missed our quiet time. Thank you for the Holy Spirit beckoning me to run to your arms reminding me it’s YOU that I need. Father, forgive me for those times when I have neglected you, fill me with compassion, patience, and wisdom to handle all that you have blessed me with. Amen.
