Lucia lived in the fourth century during a time of intense persecution for Christians. She chose to live her life for Jesus and sell her dowry to feed the Christians who we hiding in the catacombs to avoid persecution. There’s more to her story (it’s in this printable pack), but the most important part is that she chose to stay faithful to Jesus even though she ended us getting persecuted herself. Her life is celebrated each year on December 13th.

Included in this packet is a great printable with instructions to help you share Lucia’s brave life with your kids in a family-friendly way including Christmas Carols, special Scriptures about Jesus, prayer request cards, and a recipe for special cookies eaten in Sweden every year on St. Lucia Day called “Pepparkakor.”
