“He was oppressed and He was afflicted, Yet He opened not His mouth; He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, So He opened not His mouth.” ISAIAH 53:7 (NKJV)
As Jesus paid the penalty for our sins, He never complained. The Bible says, “He did not open his mouth” (Isaiah 53:7). God has shown us such great mercy! Not only was He willing to die for us, but He did it in love. This is a love unlike any we have ever known. As you let those thoughts swirl around in your mind today, remember that the same love lives in you. Let it penetrate the deepest places in your heart. Receive others with that same kind of grace!
