Be Bold for Jesus

“When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father—the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father—he will testify about me. And you also must testify, for you have been with me from the beginning.” John‬ ‭15:26-27‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Dear Sister, do you need more courage? As we walk into a new year, allow me to encourage you to seek the Lord for a renewed impartation of boldness.  God does not want His beloved cowering in fear or huddled & hiding in the corners. He wants us to walk in freedom with our heads held up high. He wants us to be confident in WHO we put our trust in.  He also wants us to project what we say with assurance and clarity.  He wants us to lead and point others to Jesus!

So how does one gain this ability, you ask? Thankfully Jesus himself told His disciples that they would do more than He did by the power of the Holy Spirit.  Friend, did you know that there is no Junior Holy Spirit? We have the same power to change the atmosphere around us and the same ability to influence others to Christ as Billy Graham did! God stands ready to do more than we can ever ask, think, or imagine through His power at work in us.

“But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.” ‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭12:11‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

One of the main reasons people lack the confidence to share the Gospel is because they falsely believe they aren’t spiritual enough for God to use them.  This just isn’t true Sister! Jesus wants to empower us to know Him and make Him known! It’s one thing to teach our children to know the love of Jesus, but another, to step out of our comfort zones to talk to others about our faith.  It takes BOLDNESS!  It’s so easy to inventory our weaknesses and disqualify ourselves before we take the step of faith to ask our “helper” to help us.

“But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life. Be merciful to those who doubt; save others by snatching them from the fire; to others show mercy, mixed with fear hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh.”~Jude‬ ‭1:20-23‬ ‭NIV

Sweet Mama, Jesus has gifted us the Holy Spirit- free for the taking. Ask Him to fill you up, to empower you with faith to believe, mercy for others, courage to step out, and an impartation of divine boldness to speak the truth as opportunities arise to share the Gospel this New Year!
