“By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.” – Hebrews 11:3
I am awed at how something can come from nothing, simply by speaking a word. And this is what the scripture shows us – that our very world was framed and formed by the WORD of God. If God could bring the entire universe to function at its optimum by His words, it surely means those of us made in His image have the same power given to us to shape our world.
Sister, what in your world needs shaping? What is crooked in your life that needs to be rebuilt, reformed, and renewed? Your words may be all you need to call those things to reality. Your words carry power and life in them, if only you would wield that power well. God’s Word reminds us of this fact when it says, “death and life are in the tongue…” (Proverbs 18:21) and “whoever guards his mouth and tongue keeps his soul from troubles.” (Proverbs 21:23) I want to challenge you today to speak God’s Word over your situation and believe that God has it under control.
📖 Are you feeling sad, lonely, or depressed, struggling with negative thoughts and emotions? Declare God’s Word that says, “As for me, I will see Your face in righteousness; I shall be satisfied when I awake in Your likeness.” – Psalm 17:15
📖 Are you worried about that child who is not walking on the path of righteousness? Declare God’s Word over them that says, “All your children will be taught by the Lord, and great will be their peace.” – Isaiah 54:13
📖Do you find yourself apprehensive about your future and that of your family? God’s Word is perfect to declare over yourself today, and it says, “being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 1:6
📖 Do you want to dwell safely at peace in all situations? I love God’s promises about peace in Philippians 4:6-7, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Is there any other trouble weighing you down today, my friend? God’s Word has all you could ever need, and the answers you could ever seek. Keep declaring His Word over your situations.
