Mom to Mom with Kristi

“Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the LORD our Maker; for he is our God and we are the people of his pasture, the flock under his care.” Psalm 95:6-7a

Hello Sweet Mamas!

May I share a secret with you? When I’m feeling far away from God, one of the best ways to find Him again is through worship.

By the way, it’s not that God has gone anywhere. It’s me. I can’t sense His presence because I’m too busy. When I’m overwhelmed and anxious about how I will accomplish everything my life demands, I become unable to hear from Him, and I feel alone and empty.

My friend, this is the comforting truth I have found: God’s presence never leaves you, and worshipping Him will always fully satisfy your emptiness and allow you to return to and abide in Him.

My loneliness, anxiety, depression, and overwhelmed condition slip away when I sit down at my piano or put my earbuds in and sing to God. My heart is reminded that He who made the heavens, earth, sun, and sky can handle whatever life throws at me. He is bigger than all of it, no matter what it is!

In worship, I surrender to Him. I lay my problems at His feet. I am strengthened and restored.

This week, God wants to hold your hand and guide you to approach His throne with an offering of worship. Whether you’re an accomplished musician or can’t sing at all, God loves your praise and is blessed by your vulnerable desire to please Him, know Him, and abide in Him more by worshipping Him.

May God bless you and your family this week as you worship God!

Love,
Kristi Valentine and the Help Club for Moms Team
