“I have seen what is best for people here on earth. They should eat and drink and enjoy their work because the life God has given them on earth is short.” Ecclesiastes 5:18-20
Hello, Help Club Mamas!
Can you believe it’s August already? I can’t!
As the school year is quickly approaching, I find myself feeling discouraged as I look back over my summer and realize it was not all I thought it would be. Back in May, I imagined lazy days at home, reading with my children, swimming, trips, playdates, and lots of family time.
It’s not that those things didn’t happen; they did! But so did lots of whining, complaining, tempers flaring (both the kids and mine), and the feeling that bedtime couldn’t come fast enough. With four kids ages seven and under, my life almost never plays out how I intend.
The good news is that God has been so gracious and given me the gentle encouragement I need, so I can give myself grace and finish out this season well.
Maybe you are in my same boat and needed to hear this today!
I love this quote by Zig Ziglar: “Where you start is not as important as where you finish!”
Praying for you and me this week to end this season WELL and for a renewed and refreshed mind to serve our children and families with a heart like Jesus!
With love,
Krystle Porter and the Help Club For Moms Team
