There is a favorite song of mine that I listen to every Christmas season by a country artist, and the main chorus of the song says, “A baby changes everything.” The message is so simple, yet so profound! Jesus’ entrance into this world as a precious baby, humbled and helpless, was the opposite of what everyone thought would happen as they awaited their Savior. They expected a mighty King, a great army to follow, and maybe even a grand feast to celebrate it all. But this small baby would change the world!
As you consider how to celebrate Christmas this year, I encourage you to keep the holiday simple—simply focused on Jesus, celebrating simply with family, and giving simple gifts.
Everything you do doesn’t have to be grand. Take Jesus’ humble beginnings as an example of how to celebrate His birth.
