Mom To Mom with Kristall: Summer of Staying Week Ten

Dear Sweet Mama,

I just love summertime—the warmth, loose schedule, and long days! As we approach the end of summer and see fall on the horizon, it’s easy to dread the impending change— school starting, busy schedules, and cooler weather. I want to encourage you to embrace the next season with excitement and confidence!

Remember what we are told in Ephesians 2:10: “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” God has prepared our way— ahead of us—and will equip us appropriately for the next season!

I am about to begin my second year of homeschooling, and this is a feat I never imagined I’d be tasked with! Instead of feeling overwhelmed while preparing for a new school year, I am reminded of God’s calling for my life. We all have different paths we are called to walk, and I pray you can stay the course and trust God’s way for you, taking His yoke upon you, for it is easy (Matthew 11:28-30).

I find the first eight verses from Psalm 119 in the Message Bible very encouraging too. I recommend reading them and praying for God to give you the strength to embrace whatever challenge comes your way. “You’re blessed when you stay on course, walking steadily on the road revealed by God… I’m going to do what you tell me to do” (Psalm 119:1, 8a MSG).

Love and Blessings,

  1. Kristall this was so good and I plan to share it with a young mom I know starting up another year of homeschooling as well. She has shared much of her frustrations with me about getting started and getting organized . I know this will really encourage her! Love the suggestion to read the first 8 verses of Psalm 119.
