“Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not a high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:14-16, NKJV.
Sisters, when we pray, we can come boldly and directly into the throne room of God because we have a high priest, Jesus working and interceding on our behalf! Prayer brings us directly into the throne room of heaven. The enemy wants to prevent you from entering the throne room of God through prayer because that’s where God will begin to pour forth healing into your heart.
I want you to know, sweet sister, that you have the power to pray deep inside you right now, despite the heartbreak. I know from personal experience that it is overwhelming to hear someone tell you that you are empowered when your heart is crushed, and that’s OK. Even if you feel overwhelmed by these words to stand and enter into prayer, please know that the spirit of Jesus is living on the inside of you, and He is going to resurrect life into you.
He is going to resurrect the hope of life into your dead dreams and into your crushed spirit. God is the giver of life, and He says come, come to the table that I have set before you in the presence of your enemies, and you will be refreshed. “Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.” Psalm 23:5, KJV.
He says come to me, and I will lead you through this valley of the shadow of death. I will lead you out of this. Sister, you have The Good Shepherd Jesus with you. “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff comfort me.” Psalm 23:1-4, KJV.
Don’t let the enemy stop you from prayer. One day you will know the answers to your hard questions. God will speak them to your heart or tell you as you sit together in His lap in the throne room of heaven. “When I tried to understand all this, it troubled me deeply till I entered the sanctuary of God; then I understood their final destiny.” Psalm 73:16-17, NIV
Sister, you are blessed, and you are strong. Jesus is quieting your disappointment with His love, and as you find sanctuary through prayer and one day find shelter in the realm of heaven, God will answer all your hard questions.
Please know that I am praying for you as you walk through this journey of prayer and disappointment.
