Prayers for a Mother’s Day: A Prayer for Peace

God gave me a picture in my mind before I had children of me sitting on the floor in a room with piles of laundry, toys strewn everywhere, and everything out of order. That picture is very much like what my house looks like now every day by 4 pm with three children!

God gave me that picture with a gentle, loving whisper from Him. The One who created everything from nothing in a very strategic, ordered process whispered to my spirit, “Daughter, you never have to live in chaos.”

Our God is not a God of chaos. His love transforms everything dark, formless, void, or uncontrolled under His sovereignty. He gave us His Spirit to do the same! 1 John 4:4 says, “…He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.” We have the power of God to bring peace wherever we go!

Dear friend, your circumstances matter to God, and He knows the places of your heart and life that feel out of control. Let’s remember and pray today that the God of peace endured the greatest chaos so we could receive His eternal peace.

Pray this prayer today, “Lord, I give my circumstances to You and ask for Your peace. Help me to be a peace-bringer everywhere I go today. Amen.”

I am praying for you today, mama.

Love,
