The Wise Woman Knows Mom Tips: Week 5

The Wise Woman Knows Mom Tips: Week 5

“But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.” 2 Peter 3:18

These Mom Tips are meant to enhance your life and role as a Christian wife, mom, discipler of your children, homemaker, and friend.

Pray about which ideas to try and keep this list on your fridge all week. Check them off as you accomplish them. Complete all of the Mom Tips or pick one to finish.

We all are in different stages of our lives. You do you! Do what you can and celebrate the fact that you added something new to enhance your life!

The Wise Woman Builds Her Spirit
• Pray about the atmosphere you want for your home. Do you want it to be fun, cozy, open and
inviting, tidy, peaceful, etc.? You do you, and create a unique haven to fit your special family.
• Take yourself out on a date this week. Choose something you love to do but rarely have time
for. You could browse the stacks at the local library, go for a hike, people-watch at your favorite
coffee shop, or take an adult education class.

The Wise Woman Loves Her Husband
• Tell your husband you love him every morning and evening this week. Be intentional with your
words. Do not let the phrase just pass from your lips. Look at him and put value behind your words.
• Pray for your husband using Scripture this week. Here are some great verses to choose from (or
use your favorite verse): Psalm 1:1-3; Joshua 1:7; James 1:19-21; Ephesians 4:31-32; Isaiah 41:10;
1 Samuel 12:24.

The Wise Woman Loves Her Children
• Hug each of your children every day this week. This simple act can often get overlooked in our
busy families. Children thrive on touch and affirmation. Hug them until they are ready to let go.
• Remind your children that God has amazing plans for their lives. One night after dinner, ask
them what they feel those plans may be for them. Wonder and dream together about how God
will use the gifts and talents he has given them to help and bless others for His glory.

The Wise Woman Cares For Her Home
• Pray over the rooms of your home. Walk from room to room and ask God to bring peace, joy,
and happiness to all who walk the floors of your home. In the rooms of your children, ask God
to be present always in their lives and that they will seek Him first and always.
• Teach your children a new household task. Even small children can learn simple tasks like
sweeping or folding laundry. Older children can tackle the dishes or clean bathrooms. You know
what your children can handle.
