Here’s Brandi Carson, one of HCFM’s Meal Masters With This Weeks Food For the Soul!
Hi! My name is Brandi Carson. I am a wife and mama of 5 little ones.
For me, in this crazy, busy season of life with my Littles, showing love to my children comes down to 1 Corinthians 13:4. Love. Is. Patient.
There it is, sweet and simple. God says we need to have patience. This verse really speaks to my heart, ESPECIALLY because I am a busy mom.
My oldest 3 kiddos are girls and one thing they LOVE to do is help mom in the kitchen. Having little helpers in the kitchen is HARD, especially when you are in a hurry and have other things that need to get done.
As moms, we will always have another chore to do, but sometimes we need to slow down and exercise patience with our kids by letting them work alongside us. When we do something that is difficult for us but something they enjoy, we can to show them how much we love them. More than anything, I want to show my children love in a way that speaks to their hearts.
Here is a quick, easy, and kid-friendly granola bar recipe I make with my children. It can be customized to whatever flavors your kids or family prefer. My kids love to pick out different flavors each week. These granola bars are such a staple in our house we make two batches at once. They are great for breakfast or a snack when you are in a pinch for time.
If you are like me and like visuals, there are pictures at the bottom of the recipe! Enjoy!

Go to your nearest Wal- Mart (or any grocery store) and get what you need!
FYI, Wal-Mart now does online ordering! This busy mama’s life just got easier!
Here’s all of the ingredients after being mixed!
And of course, have your helpers press the granola into the pan! But remember to be patient! 🙂
