See the Beauty of God in All Things

“Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.” Deuteronomy 11:19

Do you feel like your family life is consumed by waves of busyness and commitments?  The Lord tells us in Deuteronomy 11:19 that we are to teach our children about the Him in all the ins-and-outs of life.  This commandment of consistent discipleship may require us to intentionally seek slow moments in our day.  I love how the Mom Tip from Joy Challenge for Moms Day 24 makes this happen!

“Do a special activity with your children today.  Pull out the paints or play-doh, or go for a nature walk.  Talk about how we can see the beauty of God in all things and all people.  Ask them to share examples with you while you create or explore.”

This gives you a perfect opportunity to take a slow minute with your child to notice God’s glory in the sun shining through the branches of trees, in the ant doing his heavy lifting, in the squirrel storing food for the coming winter.  God’s fingerprints are everywhere.  Take some time to notice them with your precious children today!

Blessings and love,
