Spiritually Healthy Moms Know They Are Truly Loved by God

“Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed, says the Lord, who has compassion on you.”‘ Isaiah 54:10.

My dearest moms, Jesus loves you! This is not just a cliche or a bumper sticker—this is the truth, and I believe many of you need to hear this today, to be reminded of it, to have it sink deep down into your spirit like a flood drowning out your fears and doubts.

Why is this so important for you to know? A true and steadfast belief that Jesus loves you helps you to be spiritually healthy and any doubts you have about his love for you can leave you like a bird with a broken wing; alive, but not free.

I shutter to think about how many times I allowed my crippling insecurity and my doubts about God’s love seep like a tea bag in hot water. I dread those times my daughters would hear me say things about myself that did not reflect a heart that knew God loved me unconditionally.

I know sometimes you may also wonder if he really loves you. The circumstances, the pressures, the pain, the rejection, the heartbreak, and the unanswered prayers can leave us drifting aimlessly in a sea of confusion. But anchor yourself in this today, Jesus loves you with a love that is powerful, personal, sacrificial, excessive, beautiful, all-encompassing, liberating, life-giving, restorative, available, and free.

Life is hard and seasons change, but God’s love for you never changes. You may feel it stronger during some seasons than in others, but for him, it is constant, never-changing, and never wavering. Unlike human beings, Jesus’s love for you is not dependent on your mood, your feelings, or your circumstances.

This should bring you great joy my sweet sisters!

Meditate on this truth, marinate in it and let it soak into those places that feel dry and empty. You are loved, you are chosen, remember who you are, and remember what he has spoken over you through his Word.

Your children need and desire for you to be spiritually healthy so that you can be all you need to be for them. Let’s start that today with knowing just how deeply and truly you are loved by God.

We love you and Jesus loves you,
