The Wise Woman Knows Mom Tips: Week 1

The Wise Woman Knows Mom Tips: Week 1

“But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.” 2 Peter 3:18

These Mom Tips are meant to enhance your life and role as a Christian wife, mom, discipler of your children, homemaker, and friend.

Pray about which ideas to try and keep this list on your fridge all week. Check them off as you accomplish them. Complete all of the Mom Tips or pick one to finish.

We all are in different stages of our lives. You do you! Do what you can and celebrate the fact that you added something new to enhance your life!

The Wise Woman Builds Her Spirit
• Download a voice recording app on your phone. If you do not have a smartphone, purchase an
inexpensive voice recording device.
• Get a pad of spiral bound index cards and write Psalm 119:89 in it. Keep it at your kitchen sink
so that you will see it often and commit it to memory.

The Wise Woman Loves Her Husband
• Find ways to make your husband smile this week—bonus points for getting him to laugh! Notice
the quirky things your kids do and say, and laugh with your husband as you recount their antics.
• Plan a date night with your husband; something new to keep things exciting. Make all the
arrangements, including finding a babysitter, making reservations, and even paying in advance,
if possible. Or, have a “date night in.” Put the children to bed and make a fancy dinner for two.
Dress up, set the table with real plates, and light some candles.

The Wise Woman Loves Her Children
• Make cookies with your children this week. Let them measure and mix with you. Remember, it
will be messy, so plan ahead and don’t stress. It will be fun! Make extras and take them to your
neighbors or your pastoral staff.
• Take your children on a “date” this week. You might need to spread this out over several weeks,
depending on how many children you have. Let each child select a reasonable activity for you
to spend some one-on-one time. Let the child talk to you about whatever is on his or her heart
Remember to listen. End your time with a special prayer.

The Wise Woman Cares For Her Home
• Empty your dishwasher first thing during breakfast this week. This will allow for dirty dishes to
go directly into the dishwasher and not pile up in the sink.
• Know what is for dinner by 9:00 a.m. every day this week: Monday: __________________
