“If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is in giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.” Romans 12:6-8.

Hey mamas! Did you know that you have been given spiritual gifts? These gifts are not just talents you possess or things that you are passionate about. These are gifts that were given to you by the Holy Spirit when you accepted Christ into your heart. These gifts are not to be kept hidden away. They are meant to be used for the benefit of others, to advance the kingdom, and they are to be used to give glory to God.

There are many different gifts, none are better than the others, and all can be used for God’s glory. Whatever your spiritual gifts are, don’t compare them to anyone else’s and don’t feel envious or inferior because someone else has a gift that you don’t. Just remember that the gifts you have received are for a reason and trust that God provides all things for your good.

Once you know your spiritual gifts, you can begin to serve those around you. God knew who would be in your circle of influence, who you would be connected to daily, and how you could minister to others, including your family, with encouragement and support.

You know what is super exciting sweet sisters? Your children will have their own unique spiritual gifts. As they grow and mature both physically and spiritually, you will be able to watch these gifts manifest in their lives as the Holy Spirit uses them in their spheres of influence. As a mom of two children who are now grown, it has been so wonderful and exciting to watch them discover and share their gifts with the world.

It is my prayer that you will discover your spiritual gifts and use them to serve those around you, to bless others, and ultimately to give God all the glory!
