Make a Thanksgiving Table Runner Keepsake!
Materials:
- A solid, light-colored table runner
- Bright-colored acrylic craft paint (found at Walmart or a craft store)
- Thick paintbrushes
- A permanent marker
- Have baby wipes or a washcloth on hand for easy cleanup
Directions:
- Paint each child’s hand and quickly press it evenly onto the table runner.
- Add the child’s name and year under each hand print with a permanent marker.
- You can even use a permanent marker to embellish the hand print to look like a turkey, adding eye, beak, gobbler, and legs.
- Each Thanksgiving season, adding hand prints will turn into a fun tradition while keeping a record of your children’s growth.
Christmas Hand print Tree Skirt Craft Idea!
Make a hand print tree skirt this Christmas! Simply take a plain felt tree scarf and make hand prints by painting your child’s hands with acrylic paint and pressing them into the tree skirt, using the same materials listed above. Write the child’s name and year. Repeat each year and watch your children grow!
