Mom Tip Saturday: Quiet Time

Hey Mamas!

Each week, we share a Mom Tip to help you run your household with more efficiency, grace, and love!

Encourage your children to join you for quiet time this week. Give them a notebook to write or draw their favorite thoughts and prayers in. Have one of your children close out your quiet time in prayer.

Often, the authors of the Bible mention that Jesus was not physically present before or after a large gathering or round of healings. He would often withdraw himself to be in the presence of God with no one else around. For Jesus -the Son of God- the need to focus and reset His mind and heart on the Father was extremely important, and this just proves how badly we -the everyday sinner- need this time as well!

As a mom, we try to instill life-giving habits into our children. Why not let them experience with you, one of the most important habits they can implement for their spirit. This time together with God will quickly be at the top of your list of favorite memories with your child. And I feel confident that God is smiling down on this time, too!

“And rising very early in the morning, while it was still dark, he departed and went out to a desolate place, and there he prayed.” Mark 1:35 ESV
