Mom Tip Saturday: Tools for Scripture Memory

“I have stored your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you. “Psalm 119:11 ESV

Hey Mamas!

We know you will love this week’s Mom Tip! Each week, we share a Mom Tip to help you run your household with more efficiency, grace, and love!

This week’s Mom Tip comes from our devotional workbook, The Wise Woman Abides.

“Get a pad of spiral-bound index cards to keep at your kitchen sink and download a voice recording app on your phone. These tools will be used frequently to help you memorize Scripture!”

Memorizing Scripture can be a fearful subject! How are we ever to learn and remember the many verses of the Bible? The “trick” with memorizing anything is hearing, reading, and speaking in repetition! A voice recording app is a great way to help you record and listen to your scriptures daily. The index cards are great for copying your verse and placing them in various spots in your home,  office, or car as little “readers” to glance at and read.

As the verse above states, storing God’s Word in our hearts helps us not sin and keeps us in His constant presence. Having these quick reminders easily accessible will help keep your mind focused on Him throughout your whole day! It may even help a family member or friend remember His Word, too!

Love and prayers,
