Take it Back!

So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’  For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.  But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” ~ Matthew 6: 31 – 33

Do not worry. That is so easy for me to read, but if I can be honest with you worry and anxiety have stolen my joy for way too long. I find myself playing thoughts over and over again in my mind. Thoughts that I know are not from the Lord but because I have fixed my mind on them I let them spiral out of control until I am in a full stage of worry and have zero joy and peace.

Mama, this is NOT how our precious Father has intended us to live. The Bible tells us, “For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgment and personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control].” (2 Timothy 1:7 AMP) We are also reminded in the book of John, to recognize who is the author of these thoughts and worries in our lives.

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” -John 10:10

Sister, if you can relate to days of worry and anxiety I invite you to come along with me today and take back your joy. I invite you to hold on to the joy that the Lord has given us and to not surrender it one more day to the thief who is only out to destroy us. We have the power of the Holy Spirit living inside of us to help us! Today can be the day of freedom for you, and for me. Today, I am choosing to take back my joy and tomorrow I am going to wake up and do the same. I pray you will take this step to overcome with me.

🙏 Pray with me-

Lord, I pray right now for the mama who is overwhelmed by thoughts of worry and anxiety. I pray that Your Holy Spirit will speak life over her mind right now in Jesus name. I pray that she will not let the enemy steal one more day of the life that you have given her. I pray for freedom from worry, fear and anxiety. I pray for your peace and joy to calm her mind right now and for your love to overwhelm her today.
