Sweet Mom, over the course of our lives there will be many times when we are criticized and when others speak negatively about us. This can be very difficult and hard to process especially when our biggest critic is ourselves!!
As a busy wife and mama of 2 boys under 5 it can be easy for me to think negatively about myself especially at the end of the day when there’s washing up to do in the sink, laundry to be done and a seemingly never ending To-Do list that never gets any shorter. These negative thoughts can easily leave me wide open to the enemy’s attack on my sense of worth and knock me off my Godly path.
Sisters, we have a Heavenly Father who made us, that knew us before we were even born! We are beautiful daughters of God! He does not look at us with negativity or criticism. The Bible says He delights in us and takes pleasure in us.
“He brought me out into a spacious place; he rescued me because he delighted in me.”~Psalms 18:19
“the Lord delights in those who fear him, who put their hope in his unfailing love.” ~Psalms 147:11
When we know these truths, we can adopt a more positive outlook over our lives.
It’s amazing how quickly our mindset shifts when we concentrate on the positives. Yes there might still be a pile of chores left to do at the end of the day- however the sound of my boys’ laughter as we played hide and seek today and the fact that they managed to brush their teeth not once but twice today was so much better than ticks on a To-Do list.
Speaking God’s Word over ourselves helps to open up our hearts to being filled with God’s joy and for that joy to overflow to the people around us. So be kind to yourselves mamas, God delights in you just the way you are!

I became a Christian in September 2020 after what seemed like a lifetime of turning to different fads to fill the hole in my heart and still feeling incomplete after my lifelong dream of being a mother was fulfilled.
As I was not raised in a Christian home and am the first Christian in my family, I started to feel overwhelmed as I did not know how to create a Christ Centred home that would witness to my husband or how to disciple my sons. Finding the Help Club was an answer to my prayers.
In the time I have been with the Help Club my relationship with Jesus has deepened, my faith has grown massively, I have formed amazing friendships and I have been blessed to write for the ministry. God moves in this ministry and being a part of it has honestly changed my life.
